From February 5th to 9th, I participated in the ABN AMRO Open in Ahoy, Rotterdam. This was my third appearance at this major event.

On February 6th, I played my first match against Chilean Macarena Cabrillana, which I won 6-3, 6-3. I played the semifinal against Angélica Bernal in the Wheelchair Arena. It was a very exciting match, which I ultimately won 7-5, 7-6(4). On Saturday, February 8th, the time had come: I was allowed to play in the final of the ABN AMRO Open. What made it extra special was that, besides the spectators in Ahoy, people at home could also watch my match on NOS. I won the final 6-1, 6-4 against Jiske Griffioen. This meant I was the winner of the ABN AMRO Open! It was an amazing experience! What made it extra special was the fact that I lost to Jiske in the first round of the last two editions, and now I beat Jiske in the final. It was a special week with a golden edge.
