This year I qualified for the Australian Open again. This took place from January 20th to 25th in Melbourne, Australia. On January 21st, I played the first round of the singles tournament against Chilean Maca Cabrillana. After a very exciting match, I managed to win 7-6(1) 7-6(5). This meant I was in the quarterfinals. I played this match against Yui Kamiji, number 1 in the world. Unfortunately, she was still a level too high for me, and I lost 6-1 6-2.

In the doubles tournament, I played with Angélica Bernal. In the quarterfinals, we met the duo of Manami Tanaka and Zhenzhen Zhu. Unfortunately, we lost this match 6-1 7-5.

I had a fantastic time at the Australian Open!
